Celebrating 21 Years of Entrepreneurship

Today, I celebrate 21 years of celebrating National #EntrepreneursDay ๐Ÿคฏ

21 years ago, I sat on my couch, 6 months pregnant with a head full of dreams and a notebook of ideas. ๐Ÿ’ก

21 years ago, the market crashed after planes crashed out of the sky during terrorist acts on 9/11. By November, I had lost my job, was 3 months away from motherhood, and was birthing my entry into the creative world of entrepreneurship. I had trained for years, so this was my moment, to create a new business helping other businesses learn to navigate this new thing called “internet marketing”. ๐Ÿšฆ

21 years ago, I worked from a computer in my basement, with dial up internet service, alternating between landline or being online. My cell phone was a flip phone, as smart phones and social media weren’t a thing yet. ๐Ÿ’ป ๐Ÿ“ฒ

For 21 years, I forged alliances, taught classes, sold services, hired staff, merged with partners, created new offerings, closed divisions, started new ones, always reading the market and shifting strategies to suit my personal and professional interests. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

For 21 years, I’ve been figuring it out ๐Ÿ˜ณ , leveraging failures ๐Ÿ˜– into lessons ๐Ÿค” , leveraging resources into new ventures ๐Ÿค‘ , always learning ๐Ÿ˜‰ , always growing ๐Ÿ˜ƒ – myself, my clients and my business opportunities. ๐Ÿ‘
